Singapore, 30 October 2026 – Concord New Energy Group Limited (“CNE” or “the Group”; Singapore Exchange: SEG.SG; Hong Kong Stock Exchange: 0182.HK), a leading developer and operator of renewable energy, energy storage and digital infrastructure projects, is participating in Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2026, highlighting the importance of developing reliable power infrastructure alongside the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital infrastructure.
AI models are updated in months, while grid connections can take years. CNE believes that for AI, power has to be developed together with the site, not after it. At SIEW 2026, Singapore’s Minister for Energy, Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry), Dr Tan See Leng, emphasised the importance of expanding power generation and grid capacity to support growing electricity demand, particularly from energy-intensive industries such as data centres. CNE was honoured to welcome Dr Tan to its exhibition booth, where the Group showcased its integrated energy solutions for AI infrastructure. His visit provided a valuable opportunity to share CNE’s experience and commitment to supporting the region’s evolving energy needs.

Developing power from greenfield has been the Group’s core business since 2006, and it now operates 5+ GW. CNE is applying that experience to AI data centres through energy parks that combine firm generation, grid-forming storage and solar, and can start island-first or grid-first. A 3 GW+ site pipeline is in development.
CNE’s vice president also shared perspectives on the priorities for powering Asia’s energy future, reinforcing the importance of reliable energy supply, forward-looking infrastructure planning and regional collaboration to meet rising electricity demand.

CNE is also participating in the SIEW 2026 Thinktank Roundtable, “AI, Energy Demand, and the Future of Power Systems”, contributing its industry experience to discussions on the growing relationship between AI development and energy infrastructure.

Strengthen energy security. Unlock AI growth.
