Concord New Energy Group (CNE) participated in the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2025

Concord New Energy Group Limited (CNE) participated in the 18th Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), which was held from 27 to 31 October 2025, themed “Envisioning Energy Tomorrow, Building Systems Today” at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

Organised annually by Singapore’s Energy Market Authority (EMA), a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, SIEW serves as a platform for energy leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to exchange insights and explore innovative solutions shaping the global energy transition. The programme featured key events such as Singapore-IEA Forum, Singapore-IRENA High-Level Forum, SIEW Energy Insights, SIEW TechTable and SIEW Thinktank Roundtables.

On 29 October, Dr Owen Chen delivered a keynote speech titled “Powering the AI Boom with Renewable Energy” at the SIEW Energy Insights session. He highlighted how the rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing is driving a significant increase in energy consumption across data centres.

Dr Owen Chen emphasised on how the industry can adopt a cohesive and forward-looking strategy to power the AI revolution while also supporting the long-term global climate objectives. 

On 31 October, Dr Bo Zhang joined the SIEW Thinktank Roundtable where experts explored the transformative role of AI in advancing cleaner energy initiatives. Dr. Bo Zhang highlighted how AI optimises the planning, deployment, and operation of battery energy storage systems (BESS) to enable smarter, more resilient power system, and underscored the cross-sector collaboration required to scale adoption sustainably across smart power systems.
